Dexter Season 8 Episode 5 When Debra purposely steered their car into a lake in an attempted murder suicide. Debra was saved by a nearby good Samaritan and unable to bear being responsible for Dexter’s death, she dived under the lake and saved him. Without a doubt this will have major implications for their relation in season 8 episode 5 “This Little Piggy”. Some other interesting things that will come up in season 8 episode 5 “This Little Piggy” are that Dexter has broken ties with Dr. Vogel after discovering that she was keeping notes on him. He told her that after the Brain Surgeon case is over, he wants nothing more to do with her. Showtime has released a preview of “This Little Piggy” for you to watch online free. In the online promo we can still see a strong focus on Dexter’s relationship with Debra.
“This Little Piggy” Dexter Season 8 Episode 5 airs Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 9 p.m. If you can’t watch the episode When we last left off in “Dexter” (Spoiler alert for those who haven’t watched “Dexter” season 8 episode 4, “Scar Tissue”) Dexter’s relationship with Debra hit a new low after Debra discovered that their father, Harry committed suicide because of his doubts over Dexter. The predictions we made ended up being proved right, He has also seemingly confirmed that AJ Yates is the Brain Surgeon after finding his hidden cellar kill room and a victim that he stabbed and left to die. Showtime has released a preview of “This Little Piggy” for you to watch online free. In the online promo we can still see a strong focus on Dexter’s relationship with Debra.
In the preview of “Dexter” season 8 episode 5 “This Little Piggy” we can see that the fallout from Debra’s actions will be a major issue. Dexter is angry and hurt that Debra actually tried to kill him and now his relationship with her is more distant than ever. Dr. Vogel is back in the scene and appears to be offering some kind of dysfunctional family therapy to both Dexter and Debra. Debra for her part seems to have realized that she needs Dexter and loves him again. Of course, it remains to be seen if this will advance the incest plotline any further. In the season 8 episode 5 preview of “This Little Piggy” we see another scene where Debra tells Dexter that someone has been kidnapped, clearly this must be Dr. Vogel who has likely been taken by AJ Yates. Of course it is still too early to trust Dr. Vogel or her motivations. Finally a new element has been introduced in the plot, a murder of a woman involving a wealthy family. We see a scene where Dexter talks to the son who tells him that his father isn’t involved, Dexter Season 8 Episode 5 of course the son is a fairly creepy character in his own way. In some ways he looks and acts like a young Dexter. He appears fascinated with finding out what the crime scene looked like, the same way Dr. Vogel and Harry speak of Dexter acting. Perhaps we have another budding young sociopath in the mix.It is good to see that the plot is moving faster in “Dexter” season 8 episode 5 “This Little Piggy.” We will have to wait and see if our season 8 spoilers are proved correct and how things will shake out for Dexter and Debra.
To say that there may be some tension between Deb and Dexter Season 8 Episode 5 Dexter at the start of this Sunday night’s episode might be an understatement, given the events of last Sunday night’s “Scar Tissue.” The preview for “This Little Piggy” suggests some serious couch time for Deb and Dexter to deal with what Deb did. Spoilers if you aren’t caught up on Dexter through “Scar Tissue”!
I guess if Deb were going to kill herself and her brother, a last minute jerk of the steering wheel would be her method of operation. She’s always been sort of erratic and unpredictable. But honestly, given how poorly planned and executed it was, is it safe to assume this was a major cry for help and not an actual attempt to end it all? Because really, she couldn’t have done a worse job, considering it doesn’t look like either of them were even hurt in the ordeal. Never mind that though. What’s done is done and now it needs to be dealt with. What could be interesting is that Dexter now has cause to be upset with Deb, which could shift things in their relationship in another drastic way. But given what we’ve seen in the preview, it looks like there may be other matters to deal with. Vogel’s been taken! “You can hate me for the rest of your life…” That pretty much confirms that Dexter was mad at Deb for what she did. Or maybe he’s mad for not letting him drown. Either way, the incident seems to be a game changer for them, and given the tension between these two since Laguerta’s death, a game changer seemed necessary to get them back to speaking terms. Whether or not this is it remains to be seen, but something is definitely happening here.
Is it me or is there something off about pink-shirt-guy? He kind of reminds me of a more preppie kind of Dexter. But maybe that’s what we’re supposed to think. Either way, it looks like Dexter’s got some work to keep him busy when he isn’t dealing with Deb and Vogel. “This Little Piggy,” Dexter and Debra are talking to Vogel about what Deb tried to do in “Scar Tissue.” Dr. Vogel asks, “…you tried to kill Dexter as well as yourself?” To which Deb replies, “I had just found out that dad killed himself because of you, I was traumatized by all this!” During this whole scene, Dexter looks very annoyed and it appears that he sarcastically tells Deb, “I’m so [] happy for you.” The next scene shows Dexter going in to work at Miami Metro, thinking “This is one of the first days I’m glad Deb isn’t here.” It could be possible that Dexter is losing his patience with Deb and is angry about what she tried to do.
Dexter Season 8 Episode 5 Meanwhile at Miami Metro, the police force has high suspicions that the victim from “Scar Tissue” was killed by her wealthy lover Hamilton. Quinn is shown presenting the case and answering the Captain’s questions, so it seems like he scored the spot of Sergeant after all. Hamilton’s son though, sort of defends his dad, telling Dexter that his dad isn’t the best, but he’s definitely not a killer. The escalating point of the sneak peeks is when Vogel is kidnapped by the presumed Brain Surgeon. Yates breaks into Vogel’s home and takes her, accusing her of sending Dexter after him. A quick scene shows Yates threating to possibly cut one of Vogel’s toes – hence the episode title “This Little Piggy.” Debra is aware that Vogel was taken and tells Dexter, they both seem like they want to help and judging by the synopsis “Dexter and Debra try to keep the doctor safe,” the Morgan’s might team up to help her. Hopefully this time Deb doesn’t disappoint us by unsuccessfully attempting to kill Dexter again. The photos also reveal that Masuka’s daughter is back, and he is talking to Deb, perhaps he’s looking for friendly advice on his new discovery. Romance might also come back to Dexter, as it looks like Jamie has hooked Dexter up with her friend on a double date with herself and Quinn.
